We'd like to invite owners and their hounds to
take one of two walks with us on Sunday morning at beautiful
Taughannock Falls State Park.
A Shorter Walk For those who
want to take a relatively short, easy stroll on Sunday to see these
spectacular falls, we have the Gorge walk. The path
is nearly level and about 3/4 mile each way to the falls.
A Longer Walk For those
hardier souls and their hounds, we offer the Rim
walk, which takes you around the rim of the gorge up to the top of the
falls. This walk to the top of the falls is about 2-1/2 to 3 miles in
length and goes up about 400 feet in elevation, then back down to the
start.
We have a NY State Park ranger to narrate the geologic history of Taughannock Gorge and Falls during our hound walk to the
Falls. She will also be available for questions at the Falls.
Time: Circa 9:00 AM
