	Thursday, July 24, 2008
	6-9 PM	Welcome gathering at Montezuma Winery, featuring check-in, wine tasting for attendees, wine by the glass, a cookout barbecue, and vendors. Barbecue dinner is $9 for half a chicken and two sides. Inexpensive grilled chicken hot dogs available for the hounds. Musical entertainment planned. Come and stay awhile! Did we mention wine tasting?
	Friday, July 25, 2008
	Noon to 5 PM	*Check in at either King Ferry Winery or Long Point Winery on the east shore of the lake anytime noon to 5 PM. Both wineries are open for wine tasting on Friday only.*
	5-7 PM	First time attendees, singles, couples, anyone looking to say "Hello" to new friends and greyt greyhound folks, please come to our wine tasting and welcome event at Knapp Winery on the west shore of the lake during the dinner hour. Enjoy some hors d'oeurves, have a glass of Knapp's best wine and hang out for a while. The event organizers will be there to give a brief presentation of the weekend at-hand, answer your questions and say "Hello." This event is in response to folks who said they wanted a chance to come together in one place and meet new greyhound folks from all over. [Hors d'oeurves and wine tasting are free with your weekend wine tasting pass; there is a charge for wine by the glass.]
	7 PM	They're doing it again! Buttonwood Grove Winery is having a concert on their lawn for hounds and their owners alike. This is one of the magical night-time events of the weekend. The concert is $3 for humans, hounds are free. Glasses of wine are available.

		*Wine tasting and check-in at all wineries except for King Ferry and Long Point.* The fun and festivities begin at 10 AM and end at 6 PM. Greyhound vendors will be located at many wineries, from Six Mile Creek Vineyard north all the way along Rt. 89 to Montezuma Winery; a list of vendors and where they are located is provided at check-in. A chicken barbecue to benefit cancer research is a great luncheon choice at Knapp Winery. As in years past, we will have an ice cream social for the hounds at 4 PM at Cayuga Ridge Winery in the middle of the wine trail. Ice cream from the Creamery will be offered for the humans much of the day to avoid lines (location to be determined).** At this time we are planning a huge raffle to benefit all the New York Adoption Groups who are participating at The Grapehound Wine Tour. We will offer some great baskets of goodies including Grapehounds stuff (Grapehounds T-shirts, Martingale collars, Grapehounds wine glasses, gift certificates at wineries), donations from vendors and special gift baskets from the NY adoption groups.

		Walk to the Falls - A hound walk to Taughannock Falls begins at Taughannock Falls State park right about 9 AM. This year we will offer two hound walks: a short walk to the base of the Falls (same as years past) or a longer walk along the Rim Trail to the top of the gorge above the Falls for those who are more adventurous. There will be an ice cream social for the hounds put on by Gorges Greyhound Adoption of Ithaca when they return to the parking area after the hound walk. Americana Vineyards, just north of Taughannock Falls, offers a buffet breakfast for the intrepid hikers. Wine tasting reconvenes at all wineries from noon until 5PM. Greyhound vendors will be selling coats, collars, T-shirts and more at most wineries. At 4 PM a free concert kicks off at Americana for your late-afternoon enjoyment. All the more reason to kick back, taste some wine, enjoy the music and plan to stay through Monday!
