The Grapehound Wine Tour® seeks to heighten regional awareness of greyhound adoption, increase the number of adoptive and foster homes for sighthounds, and raise funds for regional 501c3 approved adoption groups to carry on their work.
The Grapehound Wine Tour® features music, a huge wedding tent with vendors from many states, a Welcome event with wine and hors d'oeuvres, delicious food from constantly changing local food vendors, a silent auction, a Blessing of the Hounds, an ice cream social, wine tasting, a huge social tent for just sitting and relaxing, and a commemorative greyhound wine glass for all registrants. The event also features a scenic walk to 215 foot Taughannock Falls on Sunday (This year the walk will take place on Saturday at 9AM.)

The Grapehound Wine Tour® is a four-day wine-tasting celebration of greyhound adoption held at Seneca Lake, New York, near Watkins Glen, every July. All well-behaved sighthounds are welcome. You do not have to drink wine or to have a greyhound to attend.
This event is set up for greyhound people to spend time relaxing and enjoying the area. Browse our photos and you'll see it's a low-key weekend with lots of time for relaxing with your greyhound.
Over the nine years that we have held this event in the Finger Lakes, we have contributed tens of thousands of dollars to greyhound adoption groups and public dog shelters in the region. Your participation helps us help greyhounds and other sighthounds.
